As we all know, mornings can be "off" time from teaching since most of our students come to lessons after school. I have found that even homeschoolers prefer afternoons so that they can keep their morning routine. That leaves us with lots of free mornings.
I've been looking into early childhood programs such as Kindermusik and Musikgarten and wondered if any of you use either program or have reasons why you might choose one over the other. I have found that either program is a quite a bit of an expense upfront, so I would like to get as much information as possible to determine if it's worth it or not.
Maybe you've even had some students who have gone through the program. I would be interested to know how parents felt about the program(s). I would appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I just discovered your blog. As a piano teacher and early childhood music teacher. I am loving your blog and all your ideas. I know you asked this question several years ago and have no idea what you decided. I have certifications in both Kindermusik and Musikgarten. I actually teach my own program with influences from Musikgarten. I also use Lynn Kleiner's stuff. If you are not familure with her she is wonderful and has several incredible books I use a lot. Kids Make Music, Babies Make Music too is the one I would recommend.
Try the Music Class program called "Music Pups". It's origninated in Atlanta by Rob Sayer. The music is fantastic, the start up fee is extremely reasonable and includes a training DVD and there is no additional yearly membership fees or costs. Go online to www.themusicclass.com to watch videos and learn more about the program.
